Part Two of Removal in Pontefract

Day two of the Pontefract project marked the completion of the Line 6 filler and seamer removal — the final phase of this challenging operation.

The team began by carefully disconnecting all services and breaking the machinery down into manageable sections. With a combined weight of 14 tonnes, specialist lifting equipment was needed. A big thank you to AEM for providing their Versa 40/60, which made handling the heavy components a smooth operation.

Transportation was equally critical. Thanks to CMC for supplying wide-load transport, the filler and seamer were safely delivered to a local waste recycling facility for responsible disposal.

This project highlights the strength of teamwork, precision, and collaboration — another successful, safe, and efficient machinery removal for TEP.
